Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds.

A lab-grown diamond is made of pure carbon, in the same crystal structure as a diamond mined from the earth. It has the same hardness, the same fire and the same brilliance. The only difference is where it formed: not deep underground over millions of years, but above ground, in a controlled environment, over a matter of weeks.

That is what sets it apart from a simulant like cubic zirconia or moissanite, which only looks like a diamond. Chemically, physically and optically, a lab-grown diamond is a diamond. Only specialised laboratory equipment can tell where it was formed.

How to read your certificate.

Every Kiyanaa diamond is certified by IGI or GSI. The certificate records the four Cs that describe any diamond:

Cut — how well the diamond is shaped and faceted to return light. It decides how much it sparkles.

Colour — how colourless the diamond is, graded on a scale that begins at D (colourless).

Clarity — how free the stone is from tiny inclusions and surface marks.

Carat — the diamond’s weight. One carat is 0.2 grams.

The certificate also states that your diamond is laboratory-grown, so you always know exactly what you are wearing.

Polki: the heritage diamond.

Polki is one of the oldest ways of wearing diamonds in India. A polki diamond is not faceted into a brilliant cut; it is kept flat and close to its natural form, and traditionally backed with gold foil to lift its glow. The style flourished in the Mughal and Rajput courts, and it has been part of Jaipur’s jewellery story for centuries.

Polki doesn’t sparkle the way a brilliant-cut diamond does. It glows: softer, warmer, and unmistakably heirloom.

Heritage, reimagined.

At Kiyanaa, we take the forms she recognises from her grandmother’s jewellery box — evergreen diamond and heritage Polki — and reimagine them in lab-grown diamonds and contemporary silhouettes. Set in BIS-hallmarked gold, with IGI/GSI-certified diamonds.

Real. Radiant. Made for every day, not just the wedding that comes once a decade.
