Every mehfil has a woman the room can’t ignore.
You know her. You might be her.
She doesn’t explain herself before walking out the door. Her family doesn’t ask. She’s spent years being the one who remembers everyone’s birthdays, waves everyone off and somewhere between all of it, she forgot how it feels to be looked at. Not as the wife, the mother, the daughter-in-law. Just her. At her most luminous.
Kiyanaa is for that woman.
We make jewellery for the life she actually lives, not the one piece locked away for a wedding that comes once a decade. A Sunday lunch. A friend’s kitty party. The evening she wasn’t going to dress up for, and then did. We believe every occasion she shows up to deserves the most intentional version of herself, because she is worth it every single day.
What we make
Evergreen Diamond and Heritage polki, reimagined in lab-grown diamonds and contemporary silhouettes — the brilliance she recognises from her grandmother’s jewellery box, redrawn for the woman she is today. Every piece is set in BIS-hallmarked gold, with IGI/GSI-certified diamonds. Real. Radiant. Held to a global standard, with nothing to prove.
We come from Jaipur, where this craft has lived for generations, and we make jewellery the way this city personifies timelessness over trends. In a piece delicate enough to catch a toddler’s fingers at brunch, and sophisticated enough to hold a formal room at dinner.
Why we exist
This isn’t a call to break from where she comes from. The families stay. The customs stay. The mehfils stay. The beautiful, warm, unmistakably Indian world of them stays. What we’re asking to shift is smaller and quieter than that: the hesitation that still makes her wait for a ‘yes’ she never needed to ask for.
Kiyanaa exists for every woman who recognises her, and is still waiting for her turn.
Nobody said she couldn’t. Nobody said she could either.
Founder Story
It all started with one ring.
My brother was getting married. For the first time, a woman was going to enter our family. And I wanted her first piece from us to feel like a welcome, not a formality. Something that would stand out in any room, and still feel like her. Not a ring chosen for its price tag. A ring chosen for a person.
I thought it would take an afternoon. But it took three cities.
We searched Jaipur first, my own city, where this craft is supposed to live. Then Delhi. And when neither held the piece I was looking for, we went all the way to Kolkata, where we finally found it. Somewhere on that long road, a thought settled in and wouldn’t leave: if I can’t easily find the one piece that stands out and still feels personal, the woman I’m buying it for isn’t the only one who deserves it, and I’m not the only one searching.
That search became Kiyanaa.
But I didn’t start a brand. First, I went to learn.
I moved to Bombay and studied the polished diamond industry from the ground up. I began trading loose diamonds and for five-six months, I walked into Zaveri Bazaar every single day. That street taught me what no classroom could: how this industry actually speaks, how colour and stone and craft come together, how a piece of jewellery is truly made. I learned the trade in its own language, on its own floor.
Then I went inside the machine.
As a sales executive, my job was to understand exactly what the giants: Tanishq, Kalyan, Walmart and others wanted, and build it: the right design, the right weight, the right price. I’d take a brief, turn it into a sample, and carry that sample back to the biggest names in Indian jewellery. In that work I learned the parts most people never see: how a design is born and what thought sits underneath it, how a piece is manufactured, how quality is held, and how much the timing and the seasons of this industry truly matter.
By the end of it, I knew the craft, the trade, and the business. And I still remembered the problem that started it all.
Coming home to Jaipur.
So I came home to Jaipur, and I opened the first Kiyanaa store.
Everything I learned points at one thing. I want to make pieces that stand out and are still easy to live in, easy for the world around her to embrace. I want a woman to put one on and feel it: that she is worth it, all of it. I’ve watched what the right piece does to a woman’s shoulders, her walk, the way she enters a room. That change, that quiet confidence is the whole reason Kiyanaa exists.
